Carly Askins, Marketing and Public Relations Intern

What is something you have learned from doing this internship?

“This internship helped me acquire primary skills in business development, and gain an understanding about developing and executing a detailed marketing plan. This includes development of a social media and SEO strategy, defining target markets, and using data analysis to gain insight on a business. Overall, I’ve gained a lot of applicable skills that I will use all throughout my career.”

What made you want to work at SunTech Drive?

“I am always looking for ways to diversify my experience, and renewable energy was something that I wanted to gain more insight on. SunTech Drive particularly stood out to me because of their genuine passion for helping people through innovation.”

What is something you have learned from doing this internship?

“This internship helped me gain a considerable amount of knowledge about digital marketing and graphic design. I also gained exposure to a variety of design softwares. This taught me a lot about video production, photoshop, and creating brand aligned marketing materials.”

What made you want to work at SunTech Drive?

“I think that renewable energy is the future, and that solar is the most viable renewable option for most of the world. I want to be a part of the industry and see it grow.”

“I have gained a lot of insight on the ins and outs of the Operations side of a business. This internship has taught me how to simultaneously manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively within a company.”

Being an environmental studies major, SunTech seemed like a great opportunity to pursue a position in a company that revolves around sustainability. This was a perfect chance to become introduced into the solar industry and develop my knowledge within this field.”
